Today, Seattle University joins others across the nation in commemorating Juneteenth.

Even as we enter a joyous commencement weekend, our hearts are heavy for the Garfield High School community.

As we congratulate our law students who graduated last month, we look ahead to celebrating the undergraduate and graduate students of Seattle University’s Class of 2024 this Sunday at Climate Pledge Arena.

I am writing to share information about the results of a recent meeting I held with students regarding the university’s response to their demands relating to the conflict in Israel and Gaza.

I am thrilled to share that Seattle University will be joining the West Coast Conference (WCC) starting in the 2025-26 season.

Seattle University will continue to be guided by three important interests around free expression of ideas and viewpoints in service of our educational mission, each of which implicates our values as a Jesuit Catholic university.
